image.jpgHello Ladies....

It is 5 weeks until we leave and I am getting SO excited!

I finished the pretravel packets last night, and wanted to share.

The pre-travel brochure was done on vistaprint for free (all i paid was shipping)

I copied from many different BDW brides. If you would like to see a close up of it, please PM, or comment and I will post it in its entirety.

I also included Luggage tags. I did a business card on word, inserted a picture, and a text box..printed then laminated.

I also included a map of the resort.

The last thing I am going to include, that is not pictured, is the list of activites that the resort is doing.

I will probably send these about in two weeks (I wont get the list of activties until one month prior) So, I will be sending these out three weeks prior to the wedding. I am trying to get the out sooner than that, but I REALLY want to include a list of activites so everyone can plan what they want to do while they are there.

Aw, Thank you!! (It was one of my favorites...but all of our engagement pictures were amazing! She did such good job!)

About the Brochures, Yes...I used vistaprint. Alot of brides on here use them and they are great!

I have a secret, that I probably shouldn't admit too...but.. I saw all of the brides on here saying "I got this and this and this for free" and I never saw any type of promotion like that when I was looking. So I called customer service and said that I had it at one time, and now it was not listed under my specials anymore. She said not a problem and made it free. (Never hurts to "ask" right?) After I made that initial "purchase". I get emails DAILY about things I can order for free. I am thinking of doing "rack cards" for my program. (still haven't decided if it is necessary). They sent me an email today about magnets. I can get 25 free.  I have 28 guests coming. So I was thinking of putting two in each welcome bag. I am about to go look and try and design something I like now.

Note: If anyone lives in the memphis area...I HIGHLY recommend... (Her prices are amazing too.. three outfits..almost two hours $250) We got over 300 photos back. Most of them edited in someway!

I asked her to come down to mexico and take our wedding photos, and we would pay for the her & her husband to go down to mexico in exchange for pictures (I thought it was a good trade for a single day of work) She said she would have taken me up on the offer, but her baby was due a week before we leave. cry.gif Too bad.

Good deal!  I've been receiving a tonn of emails from Vistaprint, but I haven't done anything about it.  So far it's "one free pen" and "one free note pad".....and we're also trying to nail down our monogram so I would like to to ensure everything follows the same idea instead of looking like I just threw a bunch of stuff together.

As as side note what's a "rack card"?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
