Pretty much everyone on the beach will be watching from the side, which I thought was kinda exciting....until they whip their iPads out and take pix of you LOL!! Bottom line, it's not super private, but just make sure ppl are aware that strangers might be in your shot and someone needs to tell them to get the hell away :)

Haha, I love your personality!  I kind of like the idea of people being in awwee of the wedding :), but at the same time I would not appreciate the awkward hotel guests hovering around :S.

My fiancĀ© and I just recently submitted our paper work to secure our wedding date at the Iberostar Paraiso Lindo. We decided to go with the Dream package, a 30 person package. We are definitely going to have more than 30 people. Each additional person is an additional $25, does anyone know if this includes children?

We are getting married on the beach and our reception will be at the Italian Restaraunt.  We originally wanted the outside courtyard area in the shopping center area but we have too many people, so we chose this.  We chose this because we could either choose a menu item for everyone or give choices, we wanted to give meal choices and they had the best.  I've requested more details and I haven't really gotten what I need so I just continue to email.  I did receive my timeline for the day which was most important to me.  My WC is Lily.  We are getting married at home first so we chose the symbolic ceremony with the dreams package.  We wanted to do everything (including the reception) there.  We have 50 traveling with us and 5 that are still unsure.  We just hired DJ Doremixx.  I just received the final paperwork from Lily- I see your wedding is in November so I attached some things to expect that I wish I would have known receiving this (though I'm not sure what kind of ceremony you're having so this may not be necessary for you).  This is the information that I need to fill out for the final details.  Hope this helps.

        Hey BrideToBe12,

I am getting married at the sister resort of the Maya, the Lindo. We decided to go with the Dream Package which includes 30 people. We are probably going to go over 30 people, each additional person will be $25. We have a few guests who are bringing their kids, do you know if we will be charged the additional $25 for the kids as well?

Hey Mindy, I was told $40 for each additional person. The kids are free under the age of 13.

Thanks for the quick responses ladies! Has anyone had their hair and make done at the Lindo? I was planning on getting my hair done, but wasn't sure about make-up.

I got my hair and makeup done at the resort and was VERY pleasantly surprised. They actually don't have a permanent person and the lady that did my hair and makeup (can't remember her name unfortunately!!!) is hired by different resorts, so I think that speaks to a higher quality professional. I brought pictures of hair and makeup that I was shooting for and she executed perfectly - I highly recommend a hair trial...and bring your own fake eyelashes (if u want to have them put on) to ensure your preferred length.

Did anyone use the Photographer Jorge from Adventures?? They are what the hotel recommends.

Bambaleo, Did you do your table arrangements or just let everyone sit where they want? I have to make place cards for the meals, but I am wondering if I should do their seating too?
