Iberostar Paraiso Wedding Roll Call

Recommended Posts

@ JLmarfa- How exciting, I'm very happy for you! Will you be having your wedding at the Grand, or one of the other beautiful locations? My wedding will be on the 6th of July, and would love to provide you with as much info as I get as I continue forward with the preparation of the wedding!

@ Bambaleo- I haven't received any info on the menu, set up or anything like that... I'm assuming they'll probably do that a little closer to the date, hopefully not too close! I'd be very interested in hearing all about the choices from any lady that has already had their reception at the Grand, thanks!

@anniebee I am still up in the air about where it will be held. I read an awful review that has scared me into having the wedding at the hotel I am staying at. Are you staying at the grand and having your wedding there? I am really curious to see some menus. I have a lot of vegans and vegetarians attending and I'm hoping it won't be a problem. I know you should never talk about $ but what kind of deal did you get for your guests stay? I'm about to sign with my TA and I want to make sure I made a wise decision. I think I am quoted at 645 for 7days and 6 nights at beach.

Here is the menu I had to choose from....I got the avocado and shrimp appetizer, potato soup, surf & turf and sea bass for entrees, lyonaisse potatoes and asparagus for sides and duo of chocolate mousse for dessert...It was GREAT!  We also chose the strawberry cheesecake filling for the wedding cake and it was really good.  They refrigerated the cake for us overnight and brought it to our room the next day to share with the guests.  We had so much cake we gave some

OMG that sounds incredible!!!

We're having ours at Maya and we were given menu options from the different restaurants at the complex (Italian, Japanese, Mexican, etc.), so we went with the Italian b/c it had the most diverse options (and had both filet and lobster) for the entree. It's pretty cool that they dont force you to eat from the menu of the restaurant where the reception is held. So the way it works for us is the appetizers with be served buffet style, with  plated entrees, and a dessert buffet.

I'm attaching the different restaurant's entree options and the vegetarian entree options (which surprisingly look good)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
