Tell me I'm nuts for wanting this!

Recommended Posts

I do think it's really pretty...and I would say my deciding factor would be how many invites per sheet? As much as I LOVE nice paper and such...I could not bring myself to pay $6+ per invite for my wedding. I'd rather spend that $$ on other stuff. You know?

It's beautiful paper, but your nutz for wanting this! Did that help?

Perhaps you can buy it and use to to scrapbook wedding photos, instead of having to create all your invites with it. It is beautiful paper, but I just couldn't even consider it.

BUT if you have to have it, I would get the 1st, slightly more expensive one, it is just nicer. Lotsa help I am, right!

I also fell in love with a pricey paper. But, I designed my own invites and rather than using large piece for the invite, I printed the invite portion on plain cream card stock and then "framed" it with the paper. I also created a band out of the paper which wrapped around the whole thing. It kept costs way down and I have several usable scraps for placecards, etc. I got all my invite stuff and some inspiration at Papersource.

I agree with Tammy. People will look at it and think Oh, that is nice, then it will be forgotten. You will save it forever, but most people will not. And, your parents will save it and love it no matter what paper its on. So, if you have a lot to send out, I think you should look for something similar that is much cheaper. Spend your money else where!

If you're going to use one sheet for each invitation, then I'll say it- you're nuts! lol

If you can get several invitations out of each sheet, where it only costs you like $1 or $2 per invite, then I say go for it if you love it.

What are your plans?

I love your honesty Ladies!!!

Iâ€m going to try and design something myself but Iâ€m having a hard time since all I have is Publisher and Iâ€m not a computer techie J I also donâ€t think the color on my laptop is in sync. When I see my monogram here at work the green looks neon, ugh! So Iâ€m sure you all think its neon green instead of a nice lime or kiwi green, lol.

Iâ€m at work so I canâ€t respond to you all individually, but to answer some questions…

I do want to throw in turquoise (or aqua/teal, whatever name) into the mix. I saw a really cute pattern on a bag which had all three colors (chocolate, lime and “blueâ€) and I thought looked great together.

I wouldnâ€t print on the paper, it would only be an accent either the belly band and or the background insert (I would print the on white/cream paper) and all the scraps can be used for tags for my starfish and/or palm fans.

I should get the sample by the end of the week.

Paula- I donâ€t think its velvet, although it does like it in the picture. Iâ€ll let you know. I would actually prefer to make the card pocket out of a print and have a solid belly band, but that would be too much $$$.

I wanted something like this but canâ€t find brown instead of black. Again, Iâ€m going to try and design something myself, but Iâ€m not sure if Iâ€m better off purchasing the paper.

Amy, if you're planning to use this as a belly band I think it would be awesome...definitely a dramatic touch. If you're doing pocketfolds, get the metallic kind and this will go well with the metallic look.

By the way, your logo looks lime on my monitor.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
