No one has booked! :(

Ladies don't fret. People will ABSOLUTELY wait until the last second to book. 15 ppl booked on the deadline date. SMH I have people that I know are coming for sure and they STILL haven't booked (even though deposit deadline was Feb 8th). TAs dates are also not set in stone so ppl can still book after the deadline (at least with mine they were able to).

Then there were those that did not go through our TA but booked online via expedia, bookit, etc. I had 3 guests do this even though the price was exactly the same (believe me I was checking for this purpose). Seemed pointless as by doing that they lost the airport transfers that are included in package and had to pay all upfront. Oh well....

I am so glad that I found this thread I have been so stressed. My wedding is five months away and no has booked. I am figuring that people are going to wait to last minute. I am wondering if I should send an email out a month before the booking deadline to let people know. What do you guys think? Is that being to pushy?

I got the same response from my reminder email as I did to the invite - none. I don't think it's being pushy. if I were a guest, it's something I would have appreciated, but I think the people interested in going would have already let you know their intention.

it's just rude to not respond to anything, although I think people assume that's better than telling you no. rude, rude, rude.

I started sending reminder emails one month from our booking deadline....then did it again at one week. I was so stressed because it seemed like for the longest time we only had 10 booked.....and then all of a sudden within a week of the deadline we got up to 47! :)

Don't stress :) For whatever reason it seems people don't feel like they have to respond, or even let you know that they've booked.....I just kept getting updates from the Travel agent, and the few people that did tell me when they were booking.

that's exactly how I felt. all in all, I had probably 30 non-responders. I was really happy with the small group we had, though. : )

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
