Long story short . I need advise/tips on a disney vacation!

My sister in law was just diagnosed with cancer and she is having her first chemo tratment later this month and we would like to take my nephew away so he is not arround her while sick and that way she and her husband are not worried about him. DH & I have never been so need all the help we can get. Ricardo is 4 and loves Mickey, donnald and goofy so we thought it would be a perfect thing for him.

Thank for all your help in advance!

Well, it's been about 4 years since I was at disney in Cali... but it's fun. And the California theme park is right across the street. That one he'd like too!

And, I think it's VERY sweet of you to do this!

hi ...what info do you need?

you can do a hopper ticket where you purchase a ticket that gets you into Disneyland and California disney.

you could also go to Downtown disney but thats more restaurants then rides....

Let me know what you need and I'll help you out...I might be going there for my b-day...though I don't know...since it is expensive :)

oh yeah at the Disneyland hotel you can have breakfast with the characters if you make reservations :)

Knott's berry farm is nearby.

Also Legoland is a great adventure for four year olds (I have 4 year old cousin who lives in SD and his mom takes him about once a month)

Sea World has a children's area that is a blast, the San Diego Zoo, San Diego Wild Animal Park, the beach...so many great kid friendly things in So Cal.

How long do you have him for?

I'm sorry to hear about the situation :o( I think Disneyland would be a great time for him. It isn't cheap but you probably know that. If you aren't worried about the money I would also suggest staying at the Disneyland Hotel for the Monorail. It goes straight from the hotel into the park, so there is no driving/walking there. That way if he gets tired or cranky and you need a quick nap, you can just hop on the monorail and you get in and out privlidges so you can always go back. Plus there is the breakfast with characters which the kids love.

California Adventure is right there too. A lot of exhibits and more rides. And yes, do Knotts Berry Farm if you can. A bunch of rides and the theme is Peanuts characters. He'll have fun there too. And LegoLand....that place looks cool and it's in Orange County too (pretty sure).

I was going to suggest the same thing.. make sure to call way in advance for reservations. Hans and I took my neice (also 4) to eat lunch with the princesses and it was a hit! She loved it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
