Hi all!

My fiance and I are getting married in Turks and Caicos, October 21st. It will be only 4 people there...that includes US!  LOL!  Can anyone recommend a wonderful restaurant in Turks that will be both fancy and fun to celebrate after wards? Or, can anyone recommend some other fun ideas?  Even though its only a few of us - i still want the day to feel special!  :-)  Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

Congrats!  I'm there the 8th for mine.  I am having around 20 people to my wedding and we are having a dinner at Bay Bistro after our ceremony.  I heard the food there is great, and one of the restaurants closest to the beach.  Some other great places for dinner that we have been to when we vacationed there last August were Mango Reef (used to be at the RWI, but have sinced moved to the Alexandria). I'm sure the food is still great even though they changed locations. I believe you can also reserve almost on the beach seating.  The surf and turf was amazing, and we will be there during lobster season!  Coco Bistro was also very good, but not on the beach; you would be surrounded by a canopy of palm trees.  For some fun,  the Infinity Bar at the Grace Bay Club is beautiful and fun for a few fancy drinks.  If you want less fancy hit da Conch Shack in Blue Hills for some great music and endless rum punch.  Hope this helps!!

Jessiem,

Congratulations!!!!  This information is VERY helpful!  I actually just contacted Bay Bistro before reading this post. They are affiliated with The Kissing Fish company if I'm not mistaken. I'm waiting to get a reply back on my email.  They seemed like a good choice.  I will research Mango Reef!  I am actually staying right across from the Grace Bay Club so I will keep the Infinity Bar in mind. You have no idea how helpful your post has just been for me. I am at the point where I'm starting to feel nervous and unprepared.  I feel lost!  Do you have someone for Hair and Make-up?  If you could recommend anyone that would be awesome!  Thanks again for taking the time to reply to my thread.  Best Wishes!

PJK,

I actually commented on your post about hair/makeup as well, so you may want to look at that thread again because I included some contacts and some phone numbers.  I am working with Diane from Island Harmony and she uses Geraldine for hair and Ann for makeup .  They are affiliated with Maxine le salon or something along those lines.  I actually  have an email out to my wedding planner as to what their fees are.  My hair/makeup is included in my wedding planner price, so I wasn't sure of the actual costs.  Will let you know as soon as I find out.  But I did include the phone number in that thread if you would like to inquire on your own.  Hope this helps!

Hello Again!

I just read your post in the "Hair and Makeup" thread! Thank you so much!!!  I will be calling Maxime today!  I appreciate you taking the time to help me. If i can get this squared away, i'll be almost done with my planning. Now onto flowers!  Are you getting your flowers on the island or going the clay or alternative flower route?  Thanks again!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
