New Bride at Now Jade!!

Recommended Posts

I'm getting Married on May 8th,2012 at the Now Jade! Super excited, but ALREADY frustrated with Pilar, and all of the extra costs!  Can anybody give me an idea of their experience with their wedding, as well as a rough idea of how much you ended up paying! ...or ideas on how I can make all of the a la carte prices stop adding up! I think its outrageous the price per person for the extra drink for the cocktail hour when everyone has already paid to have it all-inclusive!

Hello Dawnliana! I am also getting married at the Now Jade, in November 2012! I have just started the process, so unfortunately i dont have any answers for you, but would be interested in hearing what others have to say!!! Eek i dont like hearing that there is alot of extra costs! I did know ahead of time of the additional costs per person, and i agree its alot for an all inclusive... but they will get you anyway they can:) Is there anywhere else you are finding hidden costs? Cant wait to hear what other Now Jade brides have to say!!!

Hola Dawnliana... Im sorry to hear your seeing a lot of hidden costs. I recently shot a wedding there for Stacey & Josh ( NOW Jade Images:  https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150238144924487.334265.18683524486&type=1  ) and they were more than happy with everything. They ended up bringing in their own Vodka from Russia as a special request and 2 foot long sparklers. Im not sure if you can supply some of the extras yourself without paying.

Wish you best of luck with all your plans.

Hi brides! I'm getting married April 2012 and was wondering the same thing about A LA CART vs. package.. We purchased the DIVINE package and that only is for up to 25 guests - we most likely have 40-50 guests...... The extra costs per person I think is crazy too!

Please let me know if you found anything out -

I'm also looking into bringing in an outside vendor for flowers, DJ and photographer -

Any suggestions/input on someone that had their wedding there about the same size as ours would be really nice!! PLEASE : )
Thanks!

Sarella727.. As our wedding is in Nov 2012 we have not really started with the details yet... but i hope to start tslking with the WC soon to see what it will all cost... I am thinking about outside vendors as well, and have heard mixed things about what the cost is to bring them onto the resort. so we'll see:) Have you decided on your locations?

Yes, I believe we have made our decision on locations:

Ceremony: Pergola (I would've picked the beach, but I want to wear shoes so I picked this spot and it's beautiful)

Cocktail Hour: Blue Bar (outside)

Reception: Oceanview Terrace

Still trying to see what time we should start our ceremony, because I looked it up and the sun usually sets @ 7pm in April.... I reserved 3pm which might be too early... I want to have sparklers after the ceremony or at some point and they won't look as cool if it's light out : )

I will update on any other info - and please do the same : ) thanks!

Hi Brides!

We are also getting married (I hope) at NOW Jade, May 2013.  We haven't booked yet since it's a bit early yet,but we just lovewhat we have seen about the resort, and all the options!  We are also likely getting the Divine pkg (25ppl) but will have at least 40, probably closer to 60. Hopefully some other brides can share their experiences, it's awkward asking about others' money, but since we're all virtual strangers, hopefully someone won't mind dishing out the details!!  As far as the flowers, I did see this on another thread:

http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/61656/now-jade-riviera-cancun-wedding/30

10 boutenierres, 3 wrist corsages, 4 bridesmaid bouquets, 1 bridal bouquet and 2 centerpieces and the rental of 9 vases and a basket for only $200 USD!!  NOW Jade wanted $65 for one bridesmaid bouquet?! In the end we saved close to $800 using Juliana and the flowers were so beautiful, my bridesmaids are still talking about them!! :)  NOW Jade's florist did not like that we ventured out to get our own florist, but there is no clause saying you can't. Also, when I told Pilar the price she said "I don't blame you". Perhaps now, NOW Jade will re-evaluate their prices for flowers. Highly recommend Juliana:  floreria_paraiso@hotmail.com

Worth a shot anyway, no?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
