@@TATrisha Can you confirm something for me please?  I heard that if i stay at Coba I get second priority for wedding venues.  Meaning if I ask for the Akumal beach location and then someone stays at Akumal and they want the same one for the same date then I get bumped to a secondary location.

Please tell me this isn't true.

@@AdamnJenn17 I cannot confirm that, but I have indeed heard that's true.  Especially for Akumal, however they do multiple weddings a day at multiple different locations, so I think you'll be okay.  VERY rarely does someone get bumped from the location they have already booked.

I was married at this resort 4 weeks ago today - it was amazing!  I've posted a review in my thread and some pictures, link to thread is in my signature.

Thanks for everyone's help during this process  :) All the best to everyone, I hope your weddings are everything you dreamed of and more! xo

Has anyone ever been bumped before? Looking to book at tulum but stay at Coba this week. Need to know ASAP as this is a deal breaker for for my wife on this venue.

I'm not sure how it works for Coba but I am staying at Akumal and getting married at Tulum and I had no problem getting the location I wanted, the Tulum Gazebo. I even had several different times to choose from.

Hi, I am looking to get married here August 2018.  I like the look of the bbq or mix grill by the poolside. What food would they serve? Thanks

When I got married I feel like they served everything!  We had at least four different meat choices.  I know there was a chicken and a steak option.  I honestly don't remember what the others were!  Then there was a very large spread of fresh fruit.  Another spread of different noodle salads and side items.

This is the only picture I have on me at the moment, but there are large banquet tables on each side of this center table.

Recent Bahia brides, for a wedding at tulum which is better, Tequila or Gran Tortuga?

And for anyone that did have theirs at Gran Tortuga, did you get the meat from the skewers as well as the set menu? And were you still allowed to eat from the amazing appetizer bar they have there?

For those of you who are in the process of planning your wedding, when did you receive the Wedding Wishes form?

We confirmed our October 2016 wedding back in January and I wasn't even aware that this form existed until I emailed and asked when I would be assigned a wedding coordinator.

The responded and said that the Wedding Wishes form and the complete guest list is required before they can assign me a wedding coordinator. >.<

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
