Is there an example of a video they produced? Does the video include highlights throughout the entire wedding? (like ceremony, dinner, and reception?)

This is what Jazmin emailed me last week regarding outside photographers and videographers:

Finally about the photo & video, all must be reviewed with the photo company in house, I will send your email to them to check all about  this point, but until I know in 2013 external suppliers are not allow, nevertheless still  send your email to get all the info from  the right person,

***So, does this mean no more outside photographers? My best friend owns a photography studio and I would love it if I could fly in her photographer - pay for the photographers trip in exchange for photos! would this be possible???

Omg, I am going to have a meltdown. If I can't have our Canadian Photographer come with us to do the photos. She is someone we have known for a long time. Originally I was going to use Arrecife but now she's available to come and is going to do it for a good price. I don't see how they can stop us from having a guest for a week come take photos during our wedding. Arrecife can take their 15 photos as part of the wedding package and call it a day. Maria just forwarded my email to Rocio or someone who is the manager over there. If anyone has any current information on this let me know. Or ways to problem solve. Emilie

They better! I don't know why they are giving me the run around. Apparently flight prices are increasing. I just want confirmation that there not going to give me a hard time about it so I can book her flight and accommodations ASAP. I don't know why Maria wouldn't just know the resort policy and why I have to wait to hear from the Photo manager. They seem to have way too much control in things. So territorial!

I'm also super frazzled because we leave for the park and fly in 36 days and communication is so difficult/slow turn around time

As long as your photographer is there for five nights, you'll be perfectly fine.

Parts of the Tulum gazebo look stained (rust, water marks etc). Does anyone have any details on this wedding location. Even in the photos it shows which is kinda gross. Do they repaint it regularly?

There were rust marks and tiny broken sections of the fence around it when I was there last, but you really can't tell too much.

I have a bunch of photos on my photo tour that you can see: http://faberphotogra...ort-photo-tour/
