@Dreamteam17  My travel agent was as shocked as I was about the prices, she told me to sit tight and sent an email over to the resort! It may not change anything but fingers crossed...my wedding package price jumped $850...I can see a small increase from year to year but this is crazy

Ok let me know what happens. I have forwarded the email I got from Linda in Aug asking why the change in prices. It's not just 100 dollar increase it's almost 600 bucks.....

Looking back to the beginning of this thread the 2014 prices are close to the ones she recently gave me. Maybe the $1090 was a complete error on their part. I guess we will find out.

@@CBraun is spam do not click link (its about male enhancement) lol

@@Dreamteam17, Those aren't the prices I got about a month ago. It listed the unforgettable at $1090 or $1240 for Don Pablo. When did you receive these prices? Can they change it after we have already been offered the original prices?

Also seems the wedding package prices have increased. Anyone have this problem ? Unforgettable package coba and tulum is

Legal $1840 symbolic $1665

Akumal

Legal 1990 symbolic 1815

We are thinking of switching to the sunshine now. Seems only Difference are minor things not wedding related except flowers on bridal table

Does everyone else have these same prices ?

The package I got for Akumal is $1815 for a symbolic wedding for November 2015. I know I thought it seemed a little high too. If I didn't want the mariachi's I would downgrade to sunshine. Does anyone know why the prices for Akumal and Sian Kaan are so much more? I'm planning on having the majority of my wedding over at Tulum anyways so I don't see why we have to pay more. We are already paying more for our stay. Do we get any extras like special decorations?? Lastly can you guys confirm that the package and any other costs are paid at the end of your stay? Also that there aren't any hidden taxes and fees?

Hey everyone,

Just wondering what you guys think the appropriate amount to tip is at the salon for bridal hair and makeup?

Let's say if all goes well like it will :), how much should I tip and should I do it individually or as one chunk to split amongst the salon ladies for:

1 Bride - Hair and Makeup

2 Bridesmaids - Hair and Makeup

2 Mothers - Hair and Makeup

The bill will be close to $800 ish I believe..

If it was me I would prob do 20-25 per hairstyle/makeup application. If your paying for the entire bill you could let them split it. Or of everyone is paying for their own they can tip individually after their service.

But really it's whatever you can afford. They over price for their services so I am sure $10/per style would be fine also especially if you are paying for it all

Ok so I heard back from the resort and I guess that price doesn't included the minister fee. That is an additional 800 in something making it that price.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
