Leaving in less than a week. Did anyone worry about the dj not having any of your "must play" songs? Should I compile a must play and a do not play list for the dj?

Yay!! That's awesome. Just seems like yesterday. Please check in after as we'd love to hear all about it. Congrats!! Hope it's all you've dreamed of and more.

Me again :)  I"m wondering for any past brides, what kind of a room upgrade did you receive? We will have our 2 kids with us and we are hoping for a room/suite with a bedroom so when our sitter is there at night the boys won't be disturbed and vice versa. the hotel knows we have the kids and the agent has put in some requests but i'm wondering if anyone has stayed at Tulum in a suite or something like it? Thanks ladies!

I may be mistaken, but I don't think the GBP has any suites with separate bedrooms.  Can anyone confirm?  The suites have extra space in them with a couch and sitting area, but no separation as far as privacy or sound.

Well, I am freaking out. Despite asking repeatedly, I was just told NOW, 24 hours before departure, that the resort does not supply a symbolic wedding certificate. WTF? I asked like three times and each time she just deflected or said the minister will supply it, to which I kept replying that we are bringing our own minister so I need to know if they supply one.

Any ideas where I can find a symbolic certificate on a super short timeline?

The internet would be my only thought. Not sure a commissionaire in Canada would as they do legal marriages. My guess is the internet would be the best bet. Ours was very basic. I could take a pic of it for you. So weird they wouldn't have anything. Congrats that your time as come. I hope it's all you've dreamed of and more. Please come back with an update and pics.

So they supply a Symbolic certificate if you use their minister, but not if you bring your own?  Really not good that they just relayed this information to you now - but I guess it is better than finding out when you arrive at the resort.

I'm curious to know, if the resort does supply the Symbolic certificate if you use their minister, what the symbolic certificate looks like in comparison to the legal one if anyone is willing to share!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
