@@Mrswaltontobe Hi!

I booked mine through the resort initially before I booked my trip with my TA.  I needed to change the date and we thought it would be better for me to contact the resort to do this since I already had communication with them, but after a couple frustrating misunderstanings, my travel agent stepped in and started to call and email the resort.  It took her almost a week to get in touch with them but we finally got the confirmation email saying it was all sorted and confirming our date.

@@Mrswaltontobe I gave the travel agent a rough idea of the dates we wanted at the resort, then once we chose dates and got quotes, the travel agent made initial contact with the resort to book the wedding date, and they dealt with me directly after that, although my travel agent did step in again when they tried to change my ceremony location.

I'm getting married at Coba. My package includes one set of live music. Since I don't want it during the ceremony, and we can't have it during dinner, could I use them in the Lobby bar before dinner, or do they already have music playing?

Thanks, @!

I think I remember someone here saying that they elected to have the wedding cake served poolside after the dinner, has anyone seen that?

I really don't know what to do about the cake vs. dessert and small cake vs upgrade to dessert and big cake issue.

And I have no idea why the Portofino menu wasn't included in the menus I received, and they won't tell me, I've asked three times!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
