@@CatrinaMcG 2015 prices would be great, just so we can get a general idea.  Do you have just the package prices?  or the prices for extras as well?

Thanks!!

I have been told by Linda we only need to bring our passports to get married. I'm hearing from other people we need to have our birth certificates translated into Spanish, can anyone clarify this for me? I have asked Jazmin but it's been 3 weeks & I haven't had a reply.

Deecol, I think I have all the prices. Send me your email & I will forward to you.

We didn't have to take any documents with us n I got married 4 weeks ago. Just had to email them copy of our passports n witnesses passports. I have been previously married before n because I was still in my married name, n passport was still in married name n I was happy to get married with my previous married name I didn't need to have anything translated.

Just got the menu for my reception dinner. I want to choose the filet mignon but I know I have a couple of guests that can't eat that (my fiancé included) they should accommodate that right?

Did most people forgo the desert for a larger cake?

Also, for my bridesmaids hair charge does that get charged to me or them?

They will definitely accommodate eating restrictions.  Just tell them in advance.

I did forgo the dessert for a larger cake, and most of the weddings I've photographed did as well.  And half of us got desserts anyway!  Ha!

Bridesmaids hair can go either way.  The last wedding I did they had to specifically ask to have the charges sent to different rooms, otherwise it was put on the bride's.

Thank you! That helps a lot! You wouldn't happen to have a picture of some of the cakes you've had/seen would you?

DonnaandDaz that's good to know. My wedding is getting so close know & I just want to be sure I don't forget anything! It's almost 4 weeks now without a reply from Jazmin, it's hard not to get frustrated....

I'm getting married at GBP one year today! Just waiting on Linda to confirm my ceremony location and we're all set! Thanks for all the info you've provided so far on this thread ladies!

I know it's a bit far, but if anyone comes across my post and is getting married around the same time let me know, perhaps we can split the cost of a photographer?

This was my cake:

And here are cakes of weddings I have photographed.

This is a cake from an Akumal wedding.  Upgraded to two tiers.  Raspberry filling I believe.

This is a Tulum cake.  Upgraded two tiers with special request of decorations.  It wasn't eaten at the Don Pablo, so they took it outside for the poolside reception.

This is the cake that's included in the package.  It's a perfect size for doing the traditional cake cutting and for a small group to share.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
