You need to look at your contract as it relates to outside vendor fees. most will have 2 options- a flat fee or a minimum night stay.

Most resorts allow this without the vendor fee if they are a guest staying a certain amount of nights. Ours states 3 nights. This should be in your contract somewhere.

I don't see where this would be anywhere.. As far as I know I don't think I have been sent a wedding contract. I got sent the to confirm template, now the wedding wishes and guest list template. How do I get one of these contracts? Also how long do you have to submit the wedding wishes template? Is it correct for your dinner you only get one main course option?

I am not a GbP bride so can not answer these questions for you, but you should be able to get answers from your WC. When you booked your wedding date did you not have to sign anything? What sort of agreement do you have holding your location? Ask your WC for specifics around outside vendors. This is a standard part of the wedding planning process and they should have it readily available for you- if not in writing.

I'm sorry I'm also not staying at your resort. When I paid my deposit I got a wedding contract re extra fees, cancellations, etc and of listed it in there. Definitely ask your WC.

Natural food is better and many of them help burn fat without the nasty chemicals and adverse effects that you can get from pills. You should alternate circuits by day, either working out every day M-F and taking Saturday and Sunday off, or working out every other day. Watching what you eat won't just put you on a fast track to weight loss, but it will also give you more energy and a healthier self esteem.

I didn't get a contract and I don't need to put a deposit so I will just ask the WC and see what she says...

Also I have a group rate from Thursday to Thursday and I conveyed this to the wedding coordinator and she confirmed me for Monday November 16th. When she sent me the email it said the bride and groom must be there 2 "working" days before the wedding. If I'm getting there on Thursday I am assuming Thursday would count for one of the working days, no? And then I called my TA and she said since we are booking so far in advance, the airline could move the flight forward or backwards a day honestly I thought destination weddings would be a little less stressful. Does anyone have any advice?! My wedding is symbolic so does anyone know how strict they are on the two working day thing?

Good News! LaurieLee contacted the resort again and they agreed to let me have my ceremony at the Hammocks site! I just have to have my dinner and reception at Coba, which is all I wanted in the first place. Does anyone know where you could find a list of restaurants listed by which resort they are in?

I booked for Sunday to Sunday for a Wednesday wedding in May with my wedding in January.  My flight got cancelled and rescheduled a day earlier. When you book so far in advance it is a great possibility that will happen.  I prefer the Saturday to Saturday anyways.

The reason why they need a couple working days before a symbolic is you still have stuff that needs to be done -- you need a meeting with your WC to go over every last detail and finalize it all, you need to pay for the wedding, they need time to order all your flowers, cake, etc. and to drop off all your decor items to them.         Civil is a few more days than that because of all the bloodwork and paperwork involved.

Your resort is a little different than mine, so hopefully someone else can chime in.  I didn't book my package with Air Canada until I had a firmed up wedding date. We had to pay a deposit to hold our spot though -- I am still a bit shocked your resort doesn't require this!!!!!

@@nicolesal you can fill out your wedding wishes and let them know about your request for the gazebo and restaurant . I only just received the wedding wishes less then 3 months in so it's good you have lots of time to complete it.

There is a section about photography stating they have the right to refuse other photographers. Doesn't say anything about 1000 fee. So this is good. I feel if it wasn't written they can't do it. I did not receive a contract either. My photographer is staying 7 days as our guest and as far as I know there is no fee when they do this. Of they stay less then 5 days the fee is 400 as I have read on here. The resort has not informed me otherwise about anything. So I am hoping for he best :)

I am also doing symbolic and arriving Sunday and not having wedding till Wednesday. I didn't really question it if you want earlier worth a try to ask.

I also only had one dinner option. Kinda unfortunate cause I like so many things on the menu but oh well. I am sure no one will care.

You are making very good progress so far in advance.

I would look over the wedding wishes and fill it all out. That is pretty much the contract. it's everything you want then print it and bring it with you.

Hope that helps a bit

@@Dreamteam17 thanks! I may have to go back to the drawing board with this whole 2 working days in advance thing.. I wish weekends counted lol. The way I see it I have two options:

Change my flight to a sat-sat or sun-sun with a Wednesday wedding date or move my wedding to Tuesday to be safe. It's just with a Tuesday I am leaving Thursday morning so not a lot of time and my parents are leaving on Wednesday to go back to BC. I was kinda hoping to have it in the middle of my stay so I could have some time before and some time after....

So if you were going Sunday and your flight was moved to Monday what would you have done? That would have left you with less than 2 business days.

@@nicolesal I didn't even think of that happening. I guess of it did or does we would have to move wedding to Thursday. I would hope by now that won't happen that I have everything booked cause that would mess everything up.

I didn't realize they don't do weddings on week ends?

I think sun-sun or sat-sat is a good option if that's the case. We only did sun-sun cause it would make it easier for our guests getting time off work

Sucks having wedding so late in the stay I think. I didn't want that another reason we got married here. I am excited for wedding but also excited for it to be done lol it's been a lot of planning and time consuming and thinking about it all the time it will be relieving to be able to relax and enjoy the last part of the trip as husband and wife

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
