We booked our date at the beginning of March 2013. We had our travel agent do the initial set up for us.

I have been trying to contact the hotel to book our wedding and enquire about group booking rates. As yet I have still to receive a response. There will be around 50 of us staying for 14 nights. It's frustrating getting no response

Do you have a travel agent?  They will typically have far better luck getting in contact with them.

April is also EXTREMELY busy for the wedding department.  So respose will be slightly slower.  They are trying to provide the best service possible to the brides who are there getting married.

I received a response today , have sent details of rooms required etc to see what group rates we can get. Travel agents here can't do anything until 25th April when prices get realised, I just want to try cover all avenues to make sure I get the best deal for our guests since they are travelling half way around the world :)

Anyone got the new prices for summer 2014 weddings yet? Ive emailed them numerous times now but no reply from the address posted at the start of this thread. One of the email addresses doesn't work, and the other one I get no reply at all.. Hi, I originally sent an email to the email address starting clientes, a few days later go a response to say they had passed the email to the wedding coordinator. About a week after that I got an email from Paloma ( groupsmx@bahia-principe.com) to confirm my date and to let me know that Mt wedding coordinator would be Jazmin, and I just needed to contact her 3 months before I go.

Just been told by our travel agents in the UK that Summer 2014 holidays go on sale April 25th, thats with both Thomson and Thomas Cook. So the prices for the weddings must be out at the same time for weddings.. hopefully!
That's right, though the thomsons travel agent I contacted has asked me to come in on the 24th apparently they are doing group bookings and weddings a day earlier. Might be worth asking your local agent

Im waiting for Thomas Cook, when I priced up on Thomsons it was a fair bit more expensive. I think we are just booking for a few of us to begin with and the rest can `add on' to the package when they make their mind up.. :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
