Good evening brides (and grooms). I am stuck, this is a question for past brides, what did you think of the cake? I have emailed another lady that does beautiful cakes in the area but have not heard back from her. I am thinking about just doing the larger cake and ditching the dessert, if we had under 15 people and everyone could order as they please I would leave the dessert at the a-la-carte but seeing as I would have to choose for everyone I think we will just stick with cake. I was thinking coconut with a raspberry filling or something along those lines but my fiance likes the idea of the white chocolate with coffee, which I think would be great and concidering our son is the only child that will be there that might go over better with our guests. Any opinions?

We really enjoyed our cake. We chose the choclate. We had a desert at the a la cart as well. Everyone was very satisfied. 400

Does anyone know what the max # of people you can have in the a la carte restaurants? We are putting down our deposits with our travel agent this week and I am nervous to do this without knowing this because we can't really afford to do the per person private dinner. When I first emailed the resort a few months back when we were just looking into things, Paloma told me that "Our wedding packages go up to 60 guests" Does anyone know if this is in fact true?? I emailed the resort last week, but no response yet :(  Thanks!
we are 75 and there is no problem for a ala carte restaurant.. (included in the package) but they offered us to privatized the restaurant at first for extra 35$ per person...

so this is an odd question but what is the milk down there like? My little guy isn't two yet and still drinks a fair bit of milk. I am unsure if I should pick up a jug of similac just in case or if their milk is treated the same as ours up here? I don't want him to get an upset tummy the whole trip. I am sure it will be ok I just thought maybe someone might have had a personal experiance and could lead me in the right direction. Thanks!

My nieces drank it when they were 18 months.  They never had a problem.  Just make sure you get the refrigerated milk.  You can also go to Walmart in Playa Del Carmen and buy a gallon.

perfect thank you! I think I will bring a tub of similac just incase but I am sure he will be ok. I am on the count down now, Jan 19th is our day! I have got all my chair sashes (yes I am bringing my own haha) and my lanterns and some other decor I am bringing with me. We decided on the whitechocolate and coffee flavored cake so I will let you all know how it is!

So EXCITED!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
