Kristi, maybe instead you could go to Akumal and swim with the turtles or go snorkling in the cove?  It's supposed to be amazing and there are some amazing bars and restaurants on that cove too.

This picture is one my friend took and it is kinda bad, but the lantern/candle is in the bottle left corner of the photo. I will see I can find a better one. I am not a hundred percent sure on the rececption tables/chairs. Mention it in an email just in case, but I am almost positive that I never asked IF, I just asked how many tables there would be for my centerpieces.

Thanks for the photo!  I was wondering if I needed to bring candles, etc. for centrepieces, so it's nice to see that they have them!  I still plan to bring rose petals and sea shells to scatter around the candles.  What did the candle centrepieces look like? I'm hoping for glass vases with pillar candles in them or something along those lines.  Even if the dinner happens in one of the restaurants, do they automatically provide the tables and chairs for the dancing reception or do you have to ask for them?

Hi Kristi11-

We just got back on December 4, 2011 (our wedding was November 30, 2011) and we decided as a gift for our guest to get them a catamaran trip.  We ued Paradise Catamaran www.paradisecatamarans.com and they were AMAZING (we even got to swim with some wild turttles).  If you tell them it's for your wedding they add some special touches.  Good luck and have fun!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
