Majestic Elegance

I visited the Majestic Elegance two weeks ago and booked my wedding for May 25, 2012.  The resort is gorgeous!!!!

 

 

Just wanted to get feedback from all the ladies that have gotten married there this past year.

 

I want to know how the time line of their even went.

 

I am just curious because I am scheduled to have my symbolic ceremony at 11AM.  My dinner is not until 6-6:30PM party at 8PM.

 

Any other feed back is welcomed.

 

Need to know if you hired the hotel DJ?

Hi! we're getting married at the Elegance on April 16, 2012. We have the exact same times that you have. Originally, I didn't really like the idea of getting married at 11 am because it would make for a long day in a hot dress. To solve the problem we're having a wedding pool party. Im going to change out of the dress and put a white bikini on. I figure as long as I keep my hair dry it should work. This way we get to take or pics later when its not so hot and also while the sun sets. Im excited about it now!

 

About the dj...I have heard many girls talking about DJ Mannia (?sp).

 

If you read the thread about the Elegance that has about 1200 posts every question you can think about will be answered. It took me about 5 hrs, but well worth it!!

Hi girls----I got married on 8/20

4 PM on the beach and then our reception started at 6:30-6:45 in the ballroom.

I finally got a response from Majestic Elegance and Lisa said that no deposit is required to reserve a date. Is this right? Otherwise how can you be sure your date is actually yours?! DJ mannia and HDC require deposits so how does it work with Elegance? Anyone who has gone through the process please help!

My symbolic ceremony is also super early at 1pm. What are you doing after your 11am wedding or any other brides who are having early ceremonies???

Im having a SUPER early ceremony as well, we get married at 11am and since our "dinner" isnt until 6pm we decided to have our reception at 1pm on La Barcaza (a boat).

 

Our reception will be less than having it at the resort and we will utilize our dinner that night at ME for our Farewell Dinner, which in turn makes our wedding an all day event !!!

 

Also, you can look into having your reception at the Jellyfish or Kukua restaurant!

I just had my shower/stagette and one of my bridesmaids got me a white bikini that says Mrs. Schuman in rhinestones on the bum!!!! Now im so excited for our wedding pool party. What a great idea!!!

I'm not sure if you still come back to the forum now that your married, but if so, have you posted a review for ME?  Our date was just confirmed for May 29th,2013. )
