Recommended Posts

Hi ladies

I hope to get some information from some of you who have either been married at paradisus,or about too.

I have my power call coming up in a couple weeks, I am getting married on the beach, and wanted to do a private dinner and private reception on beach, but we have 55 guests and the extra cost for things i just insane. So i would love to know what you girls are doing. I like the aqua package. and I have considered going to one of resturants for a dinner after ceremony, but dont know if they seprate it for us? or are we just scattered everywhere?and then the reception i wanted it to be private on beach, but then the extra cost for everything is crazy,so im stuck, i would consider going to the disco-bar for our recpetion but we have kids, and no sure what that would be like for the kids, and also to if i was to do private reception what will we do for our music? if anyone can help out at all I would love to hear from anyone.. please....

Hi!

I just got married in Punta Cana, and I was the MOH last year in a Paradisus Punta Cana wedding,

I suggest you tell your planner (not sure if Miguelina still there) that you want to bring some things with you, to cut costs you can take some vases or candles with you for centerpiece. look at some idea for a beach wedding, 50 people are like 5 or 6 tables so you don't need a lot of vases or centerpieces. They actually give you an area for your dinner and they setup everything, the only thing is that the package does not include a centerpiece, and last year they ask my friend US$65 per centerpiece, for a vase with a candle inside!!!!

Good luck!

Hey, im getting married at the paradisus punta cana on Dec 3!! its coming so fast!!  You are right, its super expensive if you go over the 24 people covered in your package. we have about 45 people coming, 36 are adults, the rest are children.  I am bringing my own centrepieces, i made my own bouquets, corsages and boutineres.  I am having my cousin take photos (he is a photographer), i am doing msg in bottle seating cards, and i have yet to think about what i want to do for decoration, it starts at $450 to decorate!! INSANE!!!  We are getting married in the gazebo, and have decided to spend the money to have DJ mania for our music.  We are trying to cut costs on everything else, we chose the chill out chic package, our power planning phone call is coming soon.  We are going to have the reception end at 10:30 and then those who want to continue partying can go to the "red lounge"  im sure all the kids will be asleep and we are counting on all the grandmas and grandpa's to babysit for the night.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
