Hi I just got married in the chapel. I did have it in my package, however, after going through the process, I would think they will just add it onto your final payment checklist/spreadsheet when you get 45 days out. Just make sure everything is listed and with the price you were expected.

Hi ladies. I'm wondering if anyone knows whether this hotel offers open bar and at what extra cost. Thanks!

We had an open bar at the cocktail hour and the private reception. The open bar does include top shelf liquor that is not normally made available at the resort. I looked back at my receipts and it seems like it was included in the private reception. I was expecting to pay extra during the cocktail hour, but the WC told me that since a champagne toast was included and I upgraded to a private cocktail hour that the open bar was included. I didn't really understand that logic, but hey I wasn't about to fight something they were tossing in for free! I would say if you have to pay extra, I wouldnt be too upset since it is different and higher class liquor than usually served.

Thanks. What package did you go for?

I guess you could say that I'm still "hotel shopping" my wedding is so far away but we were planning on going there for vacation this year so we decided to check out some hotels that we liked since we were there. Even though the prices will change it's nice to have answers from a person live rather than through e-mail :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
