Hi!!

I recently got married at the Royal in Cancun and had my catholic ceremony in the chapel at Gran Caribe.....My advise is: GET LEGALLY MARRIED AT HOME!! The ceremony alone is like 45-60 mins, and it looks LEGIT as can be since you have to sign some certificate, AND there's 2 witnesses that sign as well! No one will know if it's legal or not!

If you have ANY questions feel free to PM me and i'll be happy to help! =)

Do you have a date set??

Hello CindyG

Congratulations and welcome to the forum.

It will be easier for you if you live this "legal" part at home.

Also will be ONE less thing to pay attention on.

Best Regards

Welcome and Congratulations! I recommend you have the Civil Ceremony at home, however if you want to get Married by the legal way and the religious one at the same day is possible, most of the brides at the Riviera Maya done

Best luck in the planning process

Hi Ladies!

I am also getting married at the Gran Caribe, Cancun July 2012!!   I wanted to get married at the outside chapel, is that what you are talking about?? If it is...They told me I was only allowed to get married in the chapel if (1) Both of us are Catholic, (my fiance is not) and (2) it MUST BE A CIVIL CEREMONY. meaning it has to be legal.  We are having a symbolic ceremony, so we are getting married at home first then going to Cancun. I was pretty bummed considering I fell in LOVE with the oceanfront chapel. But The gazebo will have to do!!

Happy Planning!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
