Toasting Flutes/Cake Cutting Set

Recommended Posts

so its funny I just found this thread.  Went home to my moms this weekend and she showed me the cake serving set and the toasting flutes that she bought for FI and I for the wedding.  I felt like such a jerk, but I was like "MOM!  How are we going to get those down south?"  Luckily I didnt hurt her feelings too much, we both laughed because she said, I dont know, i was going to give them to you to bring down.  I talked her into returning them or giving them to someone else for their wedding.

Its sooo not worth the hassle.  (plus they were VERY frufru-shishi.... not my style at ALL)  I like to keep it simple, thats why we HAD the destination wedding to begin with!

Unfortunately i didnt know how to break it to her that a white satin wedding album is not really my style either.  sooooo I will have to bite the bullet on that one.  But seriously, white satin??? will people need to wear gloves to look at our wedding album????  I mentioned that it would be hard to keep clean and that it would get dusty, and she told me that I had to keep it in the box????? OR i could wash it.  How does one wash a photoalbum???  LOL.  gotta love mom-logic!

I'd be shocked if a resort did NOT have champagne flutes and cake cutters. Weddings aside, resorts serve champagne/sparkling wine and cake during the normal course of business.

But now that I think of it, it's always better to ask and be sure than to assume!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
