Father Daughter song

Recommended Posts

I found this while searching for a song to dance with my dad. Thought I would share the lyrics. It also has a sweet melody.

Just once upon yesterday

I held you in my arms

You grew into a little girl

With lovely childhood charms.

Now it seems I only turned around

And I see you by his side

Oh, I can't believe my eyes today

My daughter is a bride.

I guess somehow I always knew

This day would soon be here

But still I wonder as I look at you

What became of all the years.

And no words could ever quite express

The way I feel inside

Oh I can't believe my eyes today

My daughter is a bride.

All the laughter and the teardrops

The sunshine and the rain

I would re-live every moment dear

If I could bring them all back again.

But now my love, the time has come

To send you on your way

So I wish you every happiness

And the blessings of this day.

And I hope the love I've given you

Will forever be your guide

Oh I can't believe my eyes today

My daughter, oh I can't believe my eyes.

My daughter, oh my angel and my pride

My daughter is a bride.

Oh I can't believe my eyes

You can get it here ... Wedding Music - Wedding Song for Father Daughter Dance ... and it's called "A Song for my Daughter".

A Song For My Daughter is the second CD single release from New Traditions following the very successful A Song For My Son - the first song in history ever written for the mother and groom dance at a wedding reception. The CD single of A Song For My Daughter contains both a male vocal version and a female vocal version, so the song can be either from the father to the bride or from the mother to the bride. The male vocal version is sung by Ray Allaire who also sings the very popular New Traditions song A Fathers Song. The female vocal version is sung by Mikki Viereck who also sings the traditional version of A Song For My Son.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
