I have to figure out a way to honour my brother in law without making my sister ball. I love these ideas, but I think they might be too much for her to handle. I will figure it out though. keep the ideas coming.

Thanks Shelley! Now that I've cried at work, I think I'm going to go with the "We thought of you with love today..." poem to honor my Mom and Dad. This has been so hard planning a wedding without my Mom (My Dad probably wouldn't have been much help with the details!) I will be thinking of you on your day

Those are very nice poems. I also lost my Mom recently and I'm trying to incorporate something in the wedding but I'm not sure what. It's just so fresh and I want to be able to make it through the ceremony without a breakdown. Thanks for the idea's.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS POST! My mom passed away when I was really young, and I have been trying to think of ways to remember her in a way that included her in the ceremony, but didn't make the entire ceremony about that. I love the locket idea in the photo too. Since my mother passed away from breast cancer, I was also thinking of donating money to the American Cancer Society and then making a note of it somewhere that money was donated in the guests name. This works well too since my FMIL is a breast cancer survivor. These are all lovely ideas, and again, thanks for this post.
