Are you staying at the same resort for your honeymoon, or switching??

Recommended Posts

Hey guys,

So my fiancé and I are planning on staying an extra week after the wedding week for our honeymoon. Since the wedding is going to be at a family friendly resort (Dreams Riviera Cancun), we were thinking of switching resorts during the second week to an adults-only.  If we switch, I am wondering if we will still be qualified for honeymoon packages, or if we will only get discounted rates if we stay with the same resort.  Any ideas??

Thanks!!

Hola my fellow Albertian!

Im not sure if the new resorts will offer you a honey moon package but you can always contact them and ask!  A lot of couple move their second week to a new resort and the service of an adults only is usually top of the line! I love those resorts here in the Mayan Riviera... from the El Dorados to Secrets Maroma. They are simple a step above the rest.

We're getting marred at Moon Palace as well, but we'll be staying there for the honeymoon. It's a huge resort and most of our guests are in the Sunset side so I think we'll request to move to the Grand side (which I hear is quieter) so that we can get a little more privacy. We can also use the facilities at the other Palace resorts (not Le Blanc though) so we can always spend the day somewhere else if we really need to get away.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
