Thanks Rebecca! I've been looking for your posted review or pics (we love PICS) from your PPR wedding. Are you going to post any of that? We honeymooned at PPR so I am always anxious to see what other people think about the resort and how their pictures look. Especially since you did the garden wedding!!! POST POST POST!!!!

Hi Danille,

I will definetly take some time and post it. You have so many great photos- looks beautyful!! We booked a photgrapher from Canada Josh Brown. It's so funny on how stressful the planning is and then you miss the day so much after it has passed. As funny as it sounds, I told my husband that he will come home one day and find me wearing my Vera Wang Veil. It's a matter of time!! LOL

Diane i got my hair done at the spa but did my own makeup. I did a hair trial a few days before the wedding which i would recommend. I brought some pics of what i wanted and showed it to her, definately bring pics. I also wanted to make sure the style would work in my hair, my hair is thick but really fine and doesnt always hold a style like i want it too. The stylist i had was great. i forget her name off hand but i know i put it in my review.

You could probably do a makeup trial if you wanted. I never had my makeup done for anything so i just went to a Laura Mercier counter a few months before the wedding and had a trial done there and the girl walked me through how to do everything myself. So i spent the few months before the wedding doing my makeup every weekend to get used to it, i dont wear much makeup normally so i needed practice.

Diane - The WC should be able to book your hair appt for you - and for any BM's that want theirs done as well.

I told my WC how many girls were getting their hair done and what time I wanted to get things started and she had it all set up for us.

Hi Ladies!

I've been reading this forum all day! And im taking notes. I am getting married 4/30/2011 at PPR. I've already had one hiccup over location and i am trying my best not to turn into Bridezilla. At any rate I really just want some helpful tips about what to expect from the staff. I chose the fantasy package, we still have people making their reservations but to date we have 30 ppl booked. We think we will end up with about 50. Ofcourse I want it to be really nice but i am so super afraid of hidden costs.

HELP!!!!!!!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
