Ahhh!! I would love to do Hawaii, but we are coming from NH and the thought of asking my guests to pay the plane far killed me so we are doing somewhere closer Jamaica!!

But you should look into Disney's new resort in Hawaii!!!

I bet it is awesome, although maybe a bit more expensive. You know you are getting pure quality and great food!!!

Congrats!! Hawaii would be beautiful! My FI and I looked at Hawaii but being from the East Coast we thought it would be way to far for our guests! If you want a more private ceremony I would look at some of the less populated islands like Maui and Kauai - but really you can't go wrong with any island they are all beautiful!! There are a ton of posts in the US - including Hawaii forum you should check out!

Welcome!  We strongly considered Hawaii (more specifically maui) for our wedding.  We decided against it for a few reasons.  Firstly, it was going to be more costly for our guests to come when adding in accomodations, travel, food, alcohol ect. as there are no all inclusive resorts.  We are a younger crowd, and I wont lie, we drink alot and eat alot!  Therefore, it was more cost effective to go with an all inclusive resort.  Secondly, we wanted to have our wedding on the beach, but after reading up some information you are not allowed anything on the beach and they are all public.  Therefore, you can have tons of weddings going on at the same time and the beaches can get pretty crowded.  We wanted something a little more private.

I guess it really depends what you are looking for and your budget.  Unfortunately for us, Maui wasn't in our budget.  Happy planning:)
