Also getting married in Manuel Antonio but not Los Altos .... If you need information on local vendors I can send you the ones I am working with. They have all been great. We don't have a wedding planner so it really helps when the vendors you are dealing with are very informative and helpful.

Good luck with all your plans!!

Your wedding was simply beautiful. I am getting married in August 2012 and was wondering if you could send a list of all the vendors you used. We are definitely going with Mariposa for the wedding cake, she did such a great job with your cake. But, we still need an officiant, and possibly a musician to play during the ceremony and cocktail hour. Do you have any suggestions?

Also, did you do all the set-up yourself? We are planning our wedding ourselves, and we have no idea how we are going to work out the logistics of setting up the ceremony, dinner, and reception space !! Did you hire a coordinator the day of the wedding?

Thank you so much for your help,

Abbie

Hello Abby! Great choice having your wedding in Guanacaste! I just thought I'd check and see if you have a wedding photographer yet. I live in Canada but love traveling to Costa Rica for weddings from November-April. I have great flat-fee rates as well. Here is a blog post of a wedding I did there: http://www.jessicazaisblog.com/weddings/destination-wedding-photographer-costa-rica-wedding/

Hi to all on this forum!I

My name is Monica and I'm a hairdresser currently living in Manuel Antonio. I have been doing hair for over 10 yrs and have been here for one. I have done hair for weddings at "Los Altos" (great venue) as well as many other hotels and private homes in the area.  I have tons of photos and blogs of some of my recent work at www.costaricahair.com .

If any of you need extra information about anything, hotels, flowers, cake, photographers, venue, or would even like a great wedding planner,  I would be more than happy to help you find the ones that suit your needs best!

Hi! I'm also getting married in Manuel Antonio, this January 2013.  I'm renting a few villas near Quepos that can hold most of our guests.  I was thinking about getting a coordinator, however, the idea of planning it myself has been crossing my mind a lot lately.  Can you send me information about the vendors that you looked into? Thank you!

I know of the perfect people for you! Manuel Antonio Weddings & Events - they are great. The owner is from Costa Rica but lived in the states for many years, so she is really easy to communicate with and has great connections in Quepos. Email me at ashley.ana.johnson@gmail.com for more info. Congratulations on the wedding, Manuel Antonio is my favorite place on earth. :)

We used Sylvia (Costa Rica Paradise Wedding) for our 72 guest August 2012 wedding and think she ended up saving us money and a ton of headaches.  We also followed up with some vendors on our own, which helped us get lower prices through her, but overall she helped get us an amazing value through Costa Verde's Event Center, and we wouldn't have been able to do it without her.  There were times when I wasn't sure and I refused to pay some of the pricier quotes we received from other planners, but in the end Sylvia pulled together an amazing wedding (everything was perfect) and we couldn't be happier!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
