We are got personalized fans that will be placed on every seat at the ceremony. For the reception as part of our cernterpiece we will have lighthouse tealights and we are planning on letting each couple take one of the tealights as a little something to remember the wedding. However, we are also doing welcome bags so the fun favors will be in there!

as a favour we have chosen the flip flop bottle opener.  I thought it matched our wedding perfectly. Especially since everyone in the group is getting a welcome gift that includes actual flip flops.  We are also doing the fans, but for ladies only - my son will give them out as guests arrive to the ceremony site.  The guys are getting baseball hats in the welcome gift.

Thanks ladies , love all the choices, keep them coming!!!

I have thought of an idea,  but not sure how well it will work. I want to buy one of those portable camera printers and bring to the resort and assign someone to take a picture  of each couple ( or guest) if single or with their friends .... (  at some point before the wedding ) That leaves 4 days to get everyones photo at the resort. Then I want to buy some black 4x6 frames and frame their photo in a cute little frame with the word CABO on it , or something ...   I think it would be different and it's something everyone can take home as a momento from their trip.

I am definitely doing a donation on behalf of the guests to two charitable organizations (two local non-profits that we adopted each of our dogs from) that mean a lot to my fiancee and I and I contacted them and they will be sending me little cards with their logos thanking the guests. As someone who has been to many weddings, showers, etc...I have found most people could care less about the favors so I wanted to do something that meant something not only to my fiancee and I and make a difference but would also include our guests in on something important to us. Good luck in deciding! :)

My wedding is 8.31.11 and we have decided to go with Christmas ornaments. Our guests will always remember their vacations every yr when they hang them on their tree!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
