Thanks!!! I'm still very much in the beginning stages, but I found that these diy projects are almost like having a hobby... its pretty fun - especially when you find good deals :) I think I may miss all this after the big day comes and goes.

Thanks!! They are by Bari Jay... I think style#230 in Hot Pink :) You can go to their site to find the closest store that sells them near you. They are beautiful on the girls... I love the way it flows :)

This is our sand ceremony kit. I created it from materials (again) from Michael's. I believe the glass cylinders were 2 for $3 and the one in the middle was not that much more (can't remember the price). And I used raffia to tie around the main jar/vase. The silver things hanging from the raffia in the middle is the letter 'A' (his - soon to be my - last name initial monogram) and a seashell charm. I also bought those on sale at Michael's for cheap. I didn't want to over do the decor on the main vase since it will have enough going on once we pour the orange and fuchsia sand in it. Sorry the picture is so bright!

Also, I bought some fuchsia sand with a 40% off coupon at AC Moore, so it was $2 and some change after tax. I could not for the life of me find orange sand UNTIL I actually thought about looking in the kids craft section of the store... smh. There I spent $1.99 each on 2 bags of orange sand (these were on clearance at the time - not sure of the original price); though its still less than $5 all together for the orange sand, I was a little disappointed because I like knowing I can get something for really cheap... but I guess it beats going online only to pay shipping on something that probably cost less than the shipping.

In all, I probably spent about $16 on everything needed for the sand ceremony kit; much cheaper than the dinky sand ceremony kits you can barely see and for a much cheaper price.

Also, thank you all for your encouragement and for liking my choices. I don't know about you ladies, but sometimes I get so overwhelmed with all this stuff that I start second guessing myself and wondering if it will even look right together lol! And God knows my fiance will just say "Yes" right now to everything (he knows whats good for him ;) lol!), so another brides honest opinion definitely helps. So, if you think I need to make adjustments to anything or if you have any good ideas to share for things I haven't created yet, let me know and I will do the same :)

Thanks Ladies! So, I've been working on the centerpieces. I got pretty much everything from Michael's (as usual). The candles are LED flicker candles that came in packs of 3. They are usually $19.99 at Michael's but if you use your 40% or 50% coupons to buy them (like I did), you can get them for $11 - $12 each set. The candle plates were 2/$3. And the 'table runners' are actually some shirts I have LOL!! I'm renting the actual table runners from the resort, so I needed something for now to get an idea of how they will look. And the table cloths we're using are the standard white that the hotel provides. Oh! And the sea shells in the pic are some we collected from the beach, but we will be using other shells we bought at Dollar Tree (just didn't want to open the package until we get to the resort).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
