Great pictures ladies! Has anyone had problems with taking centerpiece parts through customs?

Here is my centerpiece (I'm so excited!). I used:

Round, baby blue (almost aqua) placemat from World Market/Cost Plus
          Square 5x5 inch vase
          Green sea glass
          Limes (abundant in Mexico)
          Lillies (fresh at the wedding)

I thought about putting a lime green ribbon around the vase, but decided against it. What do you think? I would love to hear your honest opinion!

That is so pretty! Thanks for sharing. Are you using any other color in your wedding? If so, I would maybe put that color of ribbon around the vase. I think if you would put the lime green ribbon, there would be too much green. IMO.

Well, FI just got home and he likes the ribbon. Our colors are shades of lime - from light (meat of the lime) to dark (like the peal). A green placemat was too much, so we went with the light blue (kinda like the water).

I kinda like the ribbon now too. What does everything else think?

The centerpeice is so pretty! and I like how you used the limes. I say go with the ribbon, maybe a shimmery light green ribbon to contrast with the dark green skins of the lime?

Just a question...why is everyone doing centerpieces at home and bringing them?

I just got an e-mail from my WC at DReams. She gave me some ideas (which sound beautiful) and they seem fairly priced. Each one is only going to be $30. So I am having like 5 tables. I think $150 for everything is good, and I don't have to carry anything, or ship anything before hand which can be expensive.

Why are so many doing it on their own?

Do you think if you send them a picture of what you want; that they can duplicate it? It is a very simple arrangement.
