Post your centerpieces here

Recommended Posts

To answer the person who asked about why so many of us are taking centerpieces it's because many resorts charge insane amounts for centerpieces. Mine won't even offer vases unless we buy their centerpieces, that's why I went with Blumeboxes. They are pretty easy to pack and I plan on using them at our AHR too for the few reserved tables we'll have.

I hope to plan my finished Blumeboxes next week. I'm waiting on some rhinestone monograms to come in before I post them.

Here is our first idea for the table. Lookign for feedback please! Excuse the ugly white sheet as we were usign it for a white table cloth, and the poor lighting it was early morning.

Here is the table with the invite (mock) and fans to show how it all ties in

Here are ours. We're going to have fuschia ribbon instead and our flowers. Our flowers are acapulco lillies, cream roses, and green cymbidium orchids. We're doing all fresh flowers and these are $50 each, which includes the container

$60 is nothing! I would have totally done that...but I need them there by Dec. 7th, so I guess I'm stuck forcing my friends to pack some heavy items:-)
I went and bought the stuff yesterday...and will now have to hunt for some small boxes and packing material so they don't break in transit:-)
Dont forget the bubble wrap or popcorn so that nothing breaks!!

It's actually a florist in Playa Del Carmen I'm not sure of their name, I have a WC in Playa working on it for me, I will check with her!

    • I have stayed at Dreams La Romana and Dreams Dominicus.  The two resorts are very different in style and decor. A few comparison points are below and fact sheets are attached for both.   Both resorts are approx 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, close proximity to Saona Island, Catalina Island and Altos de Chavon. Top championship golf courses in the Caribbean are just minutes away including Teeth of the Dog, Dye Fore, The Links and La Estancia – all designed by world-famous Pete Dye. Restaurants are similar at both resorts.  Both offer the Explorers Club for Kids.  Dreams Dominicus  Brand new resort and in 2016 488 rooms (however additional construction was underway) More contemporary style & decor Good beach area Rooms were very nice Preferred Club located in main lobby and adjacent to main pool & beach front Food was good Center plaza area with nighttime entertainment Main lobby is small, but outdoor bar off lobby is nice Dreams La Romana Originally built in 2003 & opened as Dreams La Romana in 2008 756 rooms Recently renovated and new preferred club adults only lounge & pool added  Rooms are more traditional Caribbean decor Grounds are very lush and tropical Good beach area food was good    Dreams Dominicus fact sheet.pdf Dreams La Romana fact sheet.pdf
    • My sister has done it but with the destination wedding, only super close family members and friends came since it was expensive and farther. It was great though.
