Post your centerpieces here

Recommended Posts

I got them at www.wedding-linens.com but we actually aren't using them now.  We changed our centerpieces and I wanted the flowers to be the wow factor and not the runners.  So we are just doing votive candles and the silver chargers with these centerpieces.  But the runners are really pretty and very sparkly!! I may bring one or two down to decorate the cake table with, but I'm not sure! Have you tried Walmart?? LL Anyone know where to get cheap 2" or 3" wide pillar candle holders?  I'm looking to add some tall pillars to the bar area but can't find anything cheap enough that I'm willing to leave at the hotel after

I did look at Ikea for the lanterns (which we bought there) but didn't buy them since I thought I'd find them elsewhere...not the case apparently :( I may have to take another day trip up to Ikea again! Was hoping someone may have any other ideas online or somewhere closer to home.
Which lanterns from ikea are you using??? I plan on using one borrby lantern in the centre (with pillar candle) then on either side one small steel pail with flowers. All of this on a burlap runner

Very pretty! That's the lantern we are taking too! I thought I'd like the silver but I ended up choosing the black ones so they stand out against the white table cloth and fushcia table runner. I'm still debating on what to use with the lanterns as I don't feel like paying a fortune flowers...leaning towards tissue poms or something else I can make ahead of time.

How are you bringing yours? I have to bring 5 and I have 1 30" hard case suitcase so I'm really hoping they will be fine in that and not break. Ya I understand about the flowers but luckily my flower shop I'm working with has very reasonable prices compared to alot of quotes I've seen other brides get. It's costing us $200 for the flowers for 8 pails (4 tables) and I'm brining down the pails.... The 99 cent ones from ikea lol. Our head table will just have the two bridesmaids bouquets in glass vases on either side of the lantern.

We're bringing down 8!!! And even though they pack flat they're bulky and 8 pounds a piece so I'm worried about his we're going to get then there. Would love to check them all in a Rubbermaid Crate but then we'd be WAY over the weight limit so I'm praying each person can carry two each and they won't break in our suitcases!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
