Thanks you! I brought everything with me (lanterns, vases for flowers, chargers, table runners, shells on tables, table numbers).

Hey prot....

I loved your centerpieces and would like to do something very similar. Where did you get your lanterns? They're stunning! Also did you bring everything in a carryon?

We checked six pieces of luggage on our way to Mexico (2 with clothes, 4 with wedding paraphernalia, including the lanterns). I individually bubble wrapped everything so it wouldn't get broken, and gate checked the little glass vases (I packed them all in one luggage). The lanterns are from Z Gallerie. They come in three different sizes, and a bunch of different colours (for anyone watching Bachelor Pad right now, they are the same ones that are decorated all over the house in turquoise). Z Galleria ships across the US, but not to Canada. They're called "Casablanca lanterns" so you can search for that on their website. Hope this helps!

That's a big difference! If I needed a few more bouquets, I would have had the moms and my sister (who walked me down the aisle with my mom because my father passed away) carry them during the ceremony. If I had too many, the extra bouquets were going to rest on the cake table. It turned out that we had the perfect amount of bridesmaids for the number of tables, and my bouquet rested on the cake table.

I am not bringing anything to the DW with me, I am though using the centerpieces at my AHR.  It does seem like it would be difficult to travel with centerpieces, I would worry about things breaking.

I really love that idea, by any chance do you think the flowers are tiger lillies?

I am preparing to order my flowers to make my bouquets and I know I need to focus on my centerpieces also.

I believe they're casablanca lillies. tiger lillies are a smaller, pink/orange colored version of a similar flower. stargazer lillies are another (pink) colored variety.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
