Post your centerpieces here

Ladies who are getting married in DR,

My friend got married there 3 years ago and she brought all of her centerpieces with her.  She paid extra to bring more luggage and asked a couple of others to help carry on bags.  I think paying the extra cost with the airline, will probably be cheaper than paying the resort.  Just a thought!  Good luck with your planning :)

Hey Roxy!  That is too bad that there is nothing nearby but great that you have family and friends who can help with the transport.  Good luck!

I got quoted a ridiculous sum of money for centerpieces at my resort and that is why I am bringing my own centerpieces.

I plan to bring them on carry-on and my friends and family members are willing to help carry them on as well in their carry-ons since I will be taking about 6 sets of centerpieces. It's a 4 hour plane ride so it's not like they are traveling for that long and as long as we secure them well and pack carefully, they should make it ok. that's the plan!

Actually that really isn't bad given that you are saving yourself from bringing them down on your own.

Roxy,

This is almost exactly what I had in mind. Thanks for sharing. I look forward to seeing the pictures with the lights in them. Where did you get the lights?

Roxy where are you purchasing your submersible LED lights?  I found some online but they seem a bit spendy.

Here are a few pictures from my wedding.  The postcards in the wine bottles are vintage postcards of places that my husband and I have traveled together.  My brother in law found them and then he also created the seating place cards with the same photo so each table was a "destination".  Loved it!  Made it more special that he did it for us.  I brought the blue mason jars with me and candle votives.  Eventos Euphoria supplied the yute overlay and the centerpieces which I was really pleased with.  We got married on Saturday and the centerpieces still looked gorgeous Tuesday night when we left and it was 93 degrees and humid the day we got married.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
