I think it's your wedding and you can chooose whatever colors you like ! Whocares if it's a destination wedding. I have seen all colors of the rainbow done at destination weddings. If you love those colors , I think you may regret not using them. This day only happens once so how you envision it as perfect is solely your choice!! :)

I am choosing a black and white theme - with a splash of Red. My groomsmen will be wearing black pants and white long sleeved shirts. My fiance will be wearing the same with a black tie ( still debating on the jacket)  All of my favors and decorations will be black/white and my Bridesmaid dresses are Cherry Red.  I picked Red for my dresses because I  have always loved red, I have also had a few people tell me that perhaps I should change my color because I am getting married on a beach, but it's my wedding and that's just how it's going to be !

I wanted to keep it simple.  Let us know what you decide!!

I agree with this!! Fall colors will look BEAUTIFUL on the beach with the ocean as a backdrop!! Pick what YOUR heart wants don't let people tell you otherwise!! I almost did and I am so happy that I said NO I am doing what I want!! I originally chose Tiffany's blue and coral and just was NOT happy with the decision but everybody around me was. Finally I changed it up with WHITE!! With small accents of coral!! It is MY wedding and I am doing it how I want!!! I think that the white will look so pure on the beach with the turquoise waters as a backdrop!!

I agree it's your wedding, and your colors will look beautiful on it.  And besides gold is like an all season color so if you are worried about it use that as your base and burgundy as your accent.

I am doing all shades of pink and black.  I didn't want to have to search out one certain shade of pink.  I wanted to be able to encompass all the hues of pink that I love and I am doing exactly that. :)  Have fun and enjoy.

Agreed!  A lot of people are going with more traditionally beachy colours like fushia, orange or turquoise!  But you have to pick what is right for you! If those are the colours you've always invisioned, I say go for it, irregardless of the location!  We're using bright coral, which is pretty beachy, but adding a lot of ivory and pale green for a more classic feel.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
