Majestic Elegance question

Recommended Posts

We are getting married Jan 2nd on the beach at the Majestic Elegance at 11 am followed by  a lunch and drinks as well as a formal reception at the Parrots Bar (buffet) at 6pm...

We have 40 people going coming with us and we are entitled to the "free symbolic wedding"

I am currently in contact with Sandra but sometimes I feel like I am asking the wrong questions. What should I be going over with her prior to arriving? - Do we do all the diner reservations and room upgrades etc once we arrive?

Any advice will help. It has been a great experience with her so far but I can tell she is pretty busy and I don't want to waste her time.

What have you's learned from your DW and planning?

Thank you,

Hi trepstep,

I'm also getting married at the ME in May, and I am also in contact with Sandra.  Personally, I'm constantly e-mailing her with stupid little questions...about flowers, the wedding package, etc...She always manages to take the time to make sure I understand what's happening.  I'm not sure about the symbolic ceremony (we are doing a civil), but we were sent a form that we have to fill out for everything related to our day.  From decor to flowers, right to the reception.

Truthfully, there is no such thing as a stupid question...especially when it's your wedding and it's supposed to be perfect, right??  That's my theory anyways...I will ask a question until I fully understand it...

Don't worry about if you are wasting Sandra's time.  She's there to help you.

Good luck, and happy planning!!

I dont have answers for you but am also curious to what I should be asking ahead of time when its my turn so Im bumping this thread.

One think ive read is that you should print off ALL corispondance with ur wedding planner so if she has agreed to a price or something to do with your event and you get there and its different you have proof of what you have been promiced.

AquaCait... CONGRATS!!!  Today is your Big Day!.. I hope it all exceeds your expectations!!.. Can't wait to hear how your trip went and how the ceremony/wedding day went. Also, can't wait to hear about your dive experiences. I just got certified at the end of last summer.. I've yet to do any dives, but would love to on our wedding week in Punta Cana.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
