The new Paradisus Playa del Carmen (La Perla and La Esmeralda)

Recommended Posts

Haha...now I'm wondering whether the Gabi bridge will be a better location for us to get married at rather than in the gazebo!!  So hard to choose without having actually been there! What do you think ladies?? Sharon
I chose the Gabi Bridge!! I think it's the perfect happy medium so you still have the beach as a backdrop for photos, but the comfort & roominess of the bridge for your guests ;)

The photographer from the resort that they use is Blue Lens Caribe - not sure who their DJ is but pricing is in the customization list!! We are using a different photographer but beware of their off resort vendor fees for ANY service you use outside of the ones the resort does - photographer for example was a $1000 charge per day!!! As for flowers etc they use Perla from Alquimia events for all the decor etc but what I'm finding is I need to give very specific descriptions for answers to what I'm asking!! Hope that helps!!!

Is having a reception at Hadar extra?

Thanks chicas!I

I am actually getting married the day before you July 5th 2013! If you are down in Mexcio already hope you are enjoying your time! I was thinking about paying extra and upgrading to have our reception at the Sunrise Grill but wanted to see what you thought of this venue? Is it in a good location with a nice setup? If any of you ladies have been to the resort and familiar with the sunrise grill your feedback on this venue location would be greatly appreciated!

I am having my ceremony at the Gabi bridge because I think it is the best of both worlds...view of the beach without the mess of the sand.

I believe the Sunrise Grill is the pool restaurant.  It is right next to the pool (open to it) if I'm remembering.  I didn't see much of it though...

Oh wonderful!! I guess I'll be seeing you around the resort :)

Mexico was wonderful, our site visit went GREAT! I am so excited, I wish July would come sooner.

The Sunrise Grill is by the pool. Not to be confused with the restaurant called The Grill. I think for cooler months other than July and August (due to insane humidity) the Sunrise would be great. I always pictured my destination wedding to be outdoors but factoring July's weather I don't think my guests will be comfortable. Plus they might get eaten alive with all those mosquitos.
The wedding planners Maria and Ana mentioned that if you do it at Sunrise, you have to put more effort into decorating such as uplighting and maybe lanterns since there's not much going on except for the lighting from the pool area.  It's a lovely area and I would choose it had it not been for the humidity factor.  It's a big area, enough for 100 guests I think.

I've been to Playa twice in December & have never really run into any mosquito problems...... I don't find it very humid so I think you'll be fine!  The fall/winter weather is great...... part of the reason I chose mid November  ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
