The new Paradisus Playa del Carmen (La Perla and La Esmeralda)

Recommended Posts

Jenna,

Thanks for the reminder!  Totally forgot to include that little detail!

Basically we were doing our tour with Myrna from the Romance office and when we walked to the bridge we noticed a SIGN at the end of the bridge in the sand (about 8 feet from the edge of the bridge) that essentially is just showing that La Perla is in one direction and Esmerelda in the other.  It definitely would show in pics, which we didnt want, so we asked her about it.  She said it's new and it wasn't there the day before, but that they would find some may to make sure it didn't show.  We kind of messed with it to see if it would be removable and I don't think it is, but I guess they'll have to cover it or something, I'm not sure.  It was kind of a bummer, but not the end of the world I guess.

Here's a pic:

Also, see the wood on the bridge, your heels (if you are wearing them) can get stuck in between the boards!  Of course I think most of us will have runner so not the biggest risk or taking a tumble walking down the aisle, but if you walk off the runner you need to be careful!  I got my heel stuck on the way to dinner on another part or the boardwalk and it was NOT fun!  So just be aware of that.

Other than that, things are good.  We're going to do our welcome dinner at one of the restaurants (either Mole or Bana we think) and I finally got my dress! pinkie.gif

Hope everyone's having a fun time planning!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
