What is your groom and the groomsmen wearing for the big day? Is anyone going the tuxedo route?

I think all of the boys are doing a light tan linen.  Haven't decided yet if I want them all in jackets, or just my fiance, and the boys in vests.  My girls are wearing light peach, and the boys will have ties that are striped with all different colors (including that peach).

I received an email the other day that I need to let them know what each of my guests will be choosing as reception entree (since we are giving them 2 options)- I guess I will just give an estimate? No way am I calling my guests to find out- what did you guys do?

They told me this when I was out there, so I am going to send it out with the invitation on the RSVP card.  They were very strict about this...and you need to provide them with a seating chart 3 weeks before the wedding with who ordered what, and where they are sitting!  Tough!

Hi ladies! I have loved reading all of your reviews and info about Paradisus. We are currently considering the resort for our Feb 2014 wedding and have found this super helpful. I noticed a comment about the gazebo no longer being used for weddings...does anyone know more about this? I haven't heard back from Lauren I'm assuming because its the weekend...but kind of panicked because we love the gazebo as our reception location!! I also noticed that a lot of you used travel agents...would you say that was worth it for your guests? Thanks for any help!!!

HI,

Welcome!! I actually have not heard of them not allowing brides to use the gazebo for the reception-what I would think is that going forward they will be charging the brides to use that for a reception location just like you get charged to use the Gabi club for reception. In regards to the travel agent- you 100% should utilize one! Otherwise your guests will be emailing you with questions every day!!! Def get a travel agent whether you go with this resort or not. Two of us on here are using the same travel agent- I have to say she has been great! I dont have to deal with anything and she doesnt charge for her services since she is being paid out from the resort- So it doesnt hurt you at all!!! I can email you her info if you are interested..

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
