Thanks for this post, what exactly is a trunk show? Do you know low do the dresses go in price? I have a dress but am doing ttd and thinking of getting a backup. I live 3hrs from edmonton. Thanks! :)

ok, two kind of random comments. 1. Canadian tire 50% sale on travel mugs 2. I have a great TA... She has done over 85 destination weddings and is based in Stoney Creek ontario. I could not live without her and she absolutely goes above and beyond. Please PM me if you would like her info. She did a friends wedding 2 yrs ago and was great. I too, was left very unimpressed with Luxe. Sorry Jessica, but a booth at a bridal show left me with a really bad taste.

A trunk show is an opportunity for the designer to showcase their gowns usually before they are made available to the public, so it's probably new stuff and not likely to be at a huge discount. Maybe try looking for a sample sale? 

I just bought a dress on eBay for ttd, should be getting it any day! Very excited, just hope it fits well :)

Hello to all my fellow Canadian Brides!

 

I've been lurking this site for a while now but at the time I was not yet engaged, lol! But my fiance finally proposed on Christmas, which I really didn't expect that day!

 

We'll be getting married at the Riu Ocho Rios on October 6, 2012! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time.

 

This site is amazing and I'm glad I had found it ahead of time; such a great place for resources and support, which I believe we all will need from time to time.

 

Congrats to past and soon-to-be brides!!

I had Jill actually send me a wedding and they look good! the price does in TTD and the whole day of the ceremony.... we get digital copies of all pics with full access to print etc.... and she is paying for her trip!

 

so i think its a really good deal... not the 1500 i wanted to pay but its still good!!

I think the photography is more focused on candid style of shooting and less portrait style if that's what you're looking for and you have to be accepted into this association so you know they are very talented photographers :)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
