Thanks for the advice, I must be coming off more distressed than I actually am as I am really not that stressed with everything.  We are only 100 days to our wedding so most of this advice is a little late for me but appreciated nonetheless.  Luckily we don't fall into any of those categories.

-everyone we anticipated coming is and then some

-our bridal party were all asked and booked right away (we knew 2 potential groomsmen would not be able to make it due to work schedules so we didnt ask them though they were told they would be included otherwise)

The source of my "stress" has really come from losing our photographer the beginning of this week and being on the hunt for a replacement in just 100 days!  Thank you again for the message as I realize we really dont have that many problem but to be honest I have been pretty calm and relaxed.  It is what it is... I am moving on!

I don't have solutions to all your problems but I can offer advice based on things I've learned through planning my own DW and many more since.

Planning a DW is stressful. It was stressful planning my own, it's stressful planning them for other people too. Families complicated things quickly and things that normally wouldn't upset you do because everyone involved is very close to you or your fiance. I've never met a bride that didn't have stress at some point planning her wedding. Some brides handle it better and some have more support.

Expect some of your guests not to attend, even important ones as upseting as that is.. Get upset, then get over it (there's usually family drama involved so this may be hard) and focus on the people who can attend. You can save a lot of tears by announcing your wedding party after they've RSVP'd!

Don't be afraid to ask people for help. You'll be surprised where you find it. And try not to sweat the small stuff. With a destination wedding you have to let a few things go. I've seen lots of brides so upset over details they didn't even notice on their wedding day because they were just so happy, blind with love and having so much fun. I feel DW's can be less stressful then traditional weddings, but especially on the wedding day. The guys are golfing or swimming, the ladies in the spa sipping mamosas, there just isn't much to get upset about because the work is done. You've been celebrating with your guests for a few days already! You can just have fun with the people you love.

Stay strong girl!!!

Ginger

So I have to laugh right now because I think I jinxed myself yesterday when I said I was surprisingly calm. Within the past half hour the following has happened:

1. The design I had for my program was not working out so I headed to Michael's tonight for plan B. Unfortunately when I got home and opened the new punch I need to use, it punches backwards from the picture! Now I have to come up with plan C....

2. My fiance tried on his suit and the tailor hemmed the pants like an inch too short!!!!

3. My Mother just called and said that my Aunt had left a message for her saying she had been called to jury duty. We THINK this means that she will not be able to look after our dogs while we are away as planned!!!!

4. My car which broke down last weekend and had to be towed into the mechanics STILL isn't ready to be picked up in the morning

5. My disc drive with my engagement photo DVD in it doesn't want to play and/or eject the disc!

Oh...did I mention that we leave in a week!!!! I'm not really sure whether to laugh or cry right now! I'm going to go with laugh because I'm finding it quite comical all this happened in such a short period of time. :)

Sry...just needed to vent. Deep breathes....deep breathes....

ROFL @ flood pants!!! At least it's a DW so worse case we chop all the pants off and my FI gets his dream of wearing shorts at his wedding! LOL

@ JMikla: thank you so much for the offer! I'm thinking tomorrow is now going to be a vacation day so I'll try a few more things out and see how it goes....fingers crossed! :)

You know, if you hem them a little shorter, you could pretend it was on purpose... The flood pants - er, capri -  looks is rather beachy and was kind of popular with men this summer... depending on his top of course...

:)

You sound like you have an AMAZING perspective. Way to go to choose the laughing over the crying...  :)

Oh Camy47....hugs!!

Love the idea of flood pants though!!  Hope get most of everything solved on your vacation day.

Does anyone know where I can get clear luggage tag holders?  All the websites I found so far have a minimum order of 100 and shipping to Canada is super expensive.

I just bought the badge holders from Walmart, less than $2/12. Now it doesn't have the zipper closure but it worked fine for me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
