Oh no! Do you have a travel agent who is kind of handling things for you? It is wonderful they want to share in your special day, but this is long after your deadline, I can see how that could be frustrating...

Hope it all works out!

Janet - soo excited for you!!  Hope you a wonderful vacation and an amazing day!!

I just need to vent for a little bit.  We originally gave our guest a deadline of July 15th and then it was extended to August 15th.  Then this past week 8 more people have told us they may be coming.  Grrr!!  I am happy they want to come but really, we gave a deadline for a reason.  Thanks for letting me get that off my chest!

I feel your pain! We made our RSVP date November 4th exactly 3 months before the wedding but now I am wishing we had made it a little sooner!  Our group rate closed end of August so the November RSVP was mainly for people who couldn't commit that early on but we have had more than expect jump on over the last few weeks!!!!

Our small intimate DW has turned into my big fat stressful day!

I am also considering moving the wedding and reception from the resort to a private restaurant and beach since every time I turn around the resort has decided to up a price or start charging for something else!!!! I am hoping to get this all sorted out over the next week because to be perfectly honest I am so over wedding planning!

Ahhhhh a vent always makes you feel a little better!!!!!

I hear ya ladies!

We have had a number of people say they're coming but haven't booked yet, so I really won't have any idea until right before we go!! Grr.. Anyhow, we've also moved our wedding to a private beach, we'll have the ceremony & reception there. We wanted something private and more intimate, the resort pricing is unpredictable and we found a company who has been great to work with and very willing to negotiate (ie, if we want to substitute things in her pkg, etc...).

Need your feedback ladies.  Do you think these shoes are ok or should I keep searching?  Pressure was on with my first dress fitting on Thursday so I picked these up but am looking for some feedback!!!! I am likely just wearing these for a few pictures and doing a flat sandal for the majority of the day!

They look really nice, but those flowers would annoy me if I had to wear them for a long time, because I think they might be catching on the bottom of the dress. But I really like the colour! If you plan to wear them for a few pics and then switch to flats I think they would be perfect. ( I got shoes to wear for a few pics and then switch to my flats too :) )

I really like them, Tori! I imagine that you dress would be long enough that it wouldn't be too much of a problem> AND they aren't too high. I am having the hardest time finding heels that aren't over 3 inches! I ended up buying two pairs - silver sparkly sandles that are 2 1/2 inches and then some platform cobalt party shoes that are 4 inches high for the reception and my reception dress. I couldn't find any short heeled blue shoes anywhere!

Did you get these?

Have any of you looked at the Tommy Bahama website recently for sandals or dresses?  They have SUPER cute sparkly sandals, some with a bit of a wedge to the heel...but, be warned, they are a bit on the pricey side.  Beautiful sundresses too in all kinds of colours, including white.  And, they ship to Canada.  Just another option...

I really like these shoes and I love the heel size but if you don't love them I would continue your search! Can't wait to hear about your dress fitting!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
