I picked our resort primarily off of pictures of other weddings.  That was the biggest help to me, because I could actually envision how our wedding would be and look.  All of the wedding packages start to look the same after looking at about 3 resorts, so having a list of things that you really want is helpful also.

Sad to say no. We got two great quotes for both Melia Buenavista and Melia Las Dunas so now we just have to pick. We weren't planning on getting back two amazing quotes the other hotels our travel agent came back with were sill in budget but more expensive so it was easy to cross them off this list. So today, I will go read reviews and look at pictures and pick one and the great thing about the Melia for me the wedding coordinator for Canada is in the Toronto area so big plus for me!

Wow that's awesome you got two quotes! It must also be nice to have your WC close by. Mine is amazing but it would be so nice to meet her and sit down and chat. I've had so many questions I'm sure I'm turning into "that bride".

Two quotes is great! I wasn't expecting that and I was just going to go with the lesser of the few we were looking into. Our travel agent is the one who looked into both, glad she did :-)

 

I am super excited the WC is close to me, just like you said it will be nice to sit down and chat with her and get to hear her feed back. 

 

I think every bride is 'that bride' so I wouldn't worry too much about that. Questions are always good and I am sure they have heard it all  ;-)

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
