I did have to match a few people, but not many, for the most part they knew each other! the ones that I did match up I said "hey do you want to room with someone, it would save you a couple hundred bucks" and it went smooth from there lol.  I didnt worry too much about personalities, as we wont be spending much time in the rooms!

Speaking of friends sharing rooms, are you guys finding that you have to do a lot of matching up? We have some friends that are single going and trying to hook them up with people to stay with. Some of them don;'t know each other, so we are trying to base it on similar personalities/interests. I hope this works out!~

I got both dresses from Davids Bridal (both on sale) hehehehehe i think what im going to do is glam up the flowers on both, just not sure how yet lol lol

Yeah i luv the TTD i think its a fun way to go, plus i have to wear my wedding dress again at our AHR so i couldnt chance ruining it lol. My wedding theme as most of the brides know is peacock chic with a touch of damask, so they both go really great. i will be making a different flower bouq for my TTD witch is dark apple green with dark blue(not navy) and peacock feathers...if you can picture that lol

I REALLY like that welcome dress! I am looking into having my reception dress made right now! I will post pics IF/WHEN it happens lol.

Great news, my ring came back, and I guess the third time is a charm.. they finally got it right... custom design has been a pain in the butt, but its EXACTLY what I wanted, so I cant complain!! I am not picking it up until sept, ill try to swing by and get a pic (I was too caught up in excitement to remember)

No problem. I can only take the credit for collecting them for free from my next conference. I got the idea from another BDW bride,

http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/thread/58383/kittenheart-s-amy-massive-planning-thread/10

, a really great planning thread if you'd like to read. Here's a pic of the the style she ordered.

They look like door hangers to me Leigh LOL sorry I just had to!!!!!

A lot of other brides have mentioned using white board door hangers that would allow guests to leave notes and such to one another.  Not sure if everyone has read the different threads on door hangers but many brides mention they aren't the best because it alerts people that you are a wedding part ie valuables and also if you include the date they know what day you will basically be gone all day.  I think they work great at a smaller boutique style hotel, not sure if you have all seen the martha ones that are white boards and you check "at the beach, dinner, at the pool etc." Those are the ones I heard the most negative about!

That being said we are still considering doing them because I think they are a great OOT filler! We will not be including our wedding date on them I think we will just do the "PLEASE DO NOT DISTURB - we have been up late partying with the Sweeney Newlyweds (or Sweeney Wedding Party)" something like that!

Heres the Martha One - I have NO rights to this file I just simply downloaded it from the site

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
