Just go to pier one's website and search "peacock" and you'll see all the stuff! Oh, and they also had animal print flip flop nail care kits?$...and mini sandlewood fans for $1.

Allie,

Thanks for the info.

I received a Groupon yesterday for laser teeth whitening and I was a bit worried. I read about another bride's bad experience so I am glad to hear the crest white strips work.

I have heard that the fill in molds are better then the strips. Do you know anything about that?

I so hear you on the wedding blahs!  I have no desire to deal with my wedding at all but could be due to a slight frustration with my TA.  I really thought they were supposed to take away stress and not add more.  Apparently my guests final payments were due today which wouldn't be a big deal if she had given the heads up but oh no she went Mexico in mid Nov and apparently is down there for a month (Who doesn't tell there clients they are going away right when there final payments should be due!!) and her email didn't even work for the first week she was down there had me thinking she had disappeared and now that it is working she let us know two days ago to let our guests know that payment was due today and then today she talked to the tour operator and had it extended for another two weeks.  Oh and the even better part is she told some people that it wasn't due until Jan and another lady who paid her deposit in Aug was just informed that her deposit never went through and not due to lack of space on credit card but due to her punching in a wrong number!  Is it not her job to catch these things happening and inform our guests of when payments are due and of any travel changes that happen???  We don't have a list who says whos paid and not!!  My word of advice is don't use a independent TA cuz if they suck you don't really have anyone to complain to or at least until everything is dealt with!   Sorry thats my rant just had to get it off my chest!!!

Ladies...I have a confession to make....Just not really into the whole wedding plan thing right now.  I wish it would hurry up and get here but don't really feel like doing much else for it.  Maybe once my exam is over on December 9th, I will feel more into it.

Anybody else getting the wedding blahs??

Yes take it in!  Mine is 18k white gold and started turning yellow after 6 months so high quality or not it happens to all of them!  Just do be prepared to hand it over for a week but it comes out amazing and looks just like new again!

I will definitely try taking it in. Thank you!

No I don't know anything about the fill in molds, can these be bought at the drugstore, or do you have to purchase them at the dentist's office? I'm curious about the price and to hear if any other bride/future bride has tried them!

So when I joined this forum I decided to read through the whole thread. I'm proud to day I'm on page 94. Woohoo!! I'm getting there and I'm taking notes. Talk about informative.

I'm feeling very discouraged at the moment because I've fallen in love with a hotel that is out of our price range hissyfit.gif   I'm really in love with Majestic Colonial. But for our June wedding the best price I can find is $1365 and we're trying to stay as close as possible to $1200. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I win the lottery but I don't think it's going to happen. Time for a reality check. Don't you just hate those.

So....For all of you who have already picked your hotel. Which hotel did you pick and why?

@ceciliag62,

I know a lot of people on BDW have gone through travel agents for pricing. We didn't. I called around to the airlines and to hotels and asked them what is the best rate they could offer our guests. Don't just check web prices, call, too!

We are choosing our hotel because it is on both of our sisters' timeshares. This will make it more cost effective for our parents and siblings to attend since our sisters can request multiple rooms through the timeshare. We also are choosing this hotel because they have the lowest fee for guest passes and many of our guests live on the island or will need to stay at other hotels. Lastly, since we are having our wedding, reception, and other activities off-site, we didn't want our guests to feel like they were losing money staying at an all-inclusive and not having any of the benefits. This hotel offers European, Full breakfast, and All-inclusive plans, allowing our guests to choose what fits them best.

Hope this helps.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
