In case anyone is looking for real seashells or starfish for any projects or anything I thought I'd pass along where I ordered from and had a great expereince!

the site is http://www.trs240.com/index.html

She has a ton of options and selection of shells and starfish, etc. Best of all she ships to Canada and shipping is totally reasonably priced at $4.50!

I purchased shells and mini starfish for our mini message in a bottle favours and theycame packed carefully so that none broke while in transit and they arrived super quick!

Mine is the 20th. But so far i haven't heard of too many that day. But then again there's like 20 socials every weekend in this city. Crazy that 3 people at your work all have one that day. Do they all know each other? You would think they would coordinate! Lol well if you don't already have one your going to feel free to come to mine!!! Lol

ahahahaha It's a "Manitoba" Thing. It is pretty much a big party (kinda like a reception) usually held at a commuinity centre to fundraise for things such as weddings. Usually the people make money off of "silent auction prizes" and booze. It's a good time :)

Not only a Manitoba thing.  In Northern Ontario they are called Shags, in Southern Ontario they can be called a Jack and Jill or a Stag and Doe.

Thank you so much for your advice.  I haven't heard very good things about Signature Vacations... I was honestly hoping to stick with Air Canada, Westjet, or Transat....

I don't know if Detroit is much of an option for us since many of the guests are from all across Ontario (including northern Ontario...).

Hoping to find a travel agent soon.

I see you are from London also!  Did you use a travel agent locally?  Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Try Marlin Travel (located in Walmart).  The one I'm using has a wedding specialist!  We've been really happy with service so far!

I contacted a past bride on BDW who was selling some decor items and arranged to buy them. She's just told me that she can't ship to Canada. I think the shipping manifesto requires her to indicate country of origin for the items, and since she actually knew they were made in China, wrote that on the form, and now the US won't ship the package to Canada.

I suggested she just say they were made in the US...basically just not admit she knows that much about them. (I don't know about you but I couldn't tell you where any of the decor I've purchased is from!)

Thoughts?

Update: Great news - the US bride tried resending the package and it arrived today, no problems! Phew!! Thanks for your helpful suggestions ladies.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
