@@gannonham - I'm going to have to check out Dollarama when I get around to think about OOT bags! I've been looking at some of the US companies, but shipping is crazy. Luckily I'm not too far from the border -  I will prob ship a lot of things to Buffalo and just drive down to pick them up!

@gannonham  those tumblers are so cute! I'll have to check out the Dollarama next time I'm in the city! It's so hard to find stuff like that for less than $10

For any of you Canadian brides who are looking to do OOT bags, Dollarama has quite a few plastic tumblers that are really nice and only $2 each.  We chose mason jar looking ones with handles (kind of like a mug) that normally retail for $8 - $12 each.  We are planning on giving these as part of our welcome bags, which will also have an itinerary, door hanger, a hangover kit, and a couple of other things we are still deciding on.  They have a number of designs for regular tumblers, but the mason jar mugs either have blue screw on lids and straws or pink ones.  We're hoping people use these for the pool bar or their beach drinks.  However, this is also something I think/hope they will bring home and use.  And every time they do, hopefully they will enjoy sipping that drink and reminiscing about their trip  :)

Here's an idea of what a similar mug looks like (the ones we got have a translucent lid and no writing, just a mason jar like design):

If anyone specifically wants the Aladdin Mason jar tumblers, I saw them being sold in the US Costco (Washington and Oregon) last month. They came in 3 per pack and comes up to about $7USD each.

Wow - that's a great price! We just picked up 2 of those for camping at Walmart in PA and they were almost $4 each! I'm still trying to decide what I'm going to do for bags. Need to wait and see how many peeps we get, but I probably won't need more than 6 or 8. In the meantime, we're going to try these out this summer. I think they're a great size especially since the bars in Mexico all use the little tiny plastic cups and you need to keep going back to the bar every 5 minutes for refills!!!!

Did anyone purchase fake flowers here in Canada or found a good website with reasonable shipping costs?

I ordered from Bloom Bridal! She's located in Toronto and will ship anywhere. They're not cheap, but it is cheaper than buying them there. And they're gorgeous and won't wilt, and I'll have a keepsake afterwards

I got my bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, boutonnieres for groom and groomsman, and corsages and boutonnieres for the parents. And some hair flowers for myself

The Bubba tumblers are on sale at Canadian tire this week! i have an alert set and I got an email about it the other day. I'm not buying them because they're still too expensive for how many guests we'll have, but if you only need 6-8 you might want to look into them? I think the quality of the bubbas are one of the best

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
