My travel agent tells me she works with mostly Canadian brides but I'm not sure what that means. do Canadian brides do anything differently?

I think she probably means more about what airports they are leaving from.  Also, it seems that most Canadian brides have their friends and family join them in Mexico for a week, while most Americans only go for 3-4 days.

That would be my guess, maybe she works with the girls from Canadian cities and flying from different airports. We also go for a week because it seems that that is what the packages offer, 7 night (or longer) vacations. Not many cities offer 3-4 day trips. Montreal does, not sure if other cities do. And I'm fine with that, a week vacation, yes please! :)

Hey ladies,

Thought I would post this out there and see if anyone is interested in purchasing a wedding gown. I live in Cochrane, Alberta, so anyone who lives or plans to visit the Calgary area and/or is near Cochrane I would love to sell this to you. check out my post by clicking the link above please!

Another Canadian bride here! (still feels weird to say that haha)

I didnt realize there was a diff between the way Americans and Canadians did DWs; I've gone to three DWs so far and all of them were full week festivities. The idea of going for 3-4 days seems wrong somehow. ;)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
